Captric is provided by Wavicon LLC. This page describes the iPhone alpha and this website. Updated September 21, 2026.

Mileage stays on your iPhone

Drives, dates, times, endpoint locations, mileage, classifications, notes and drafts are stored on your device. This version has no Captric account or sync service, and does not automatically upload your mileage to us.

Automatic recording uses Apple’s location and motion services after you grant access. Pausing stops app-requested tracking. You can change permissions in iPhone Settings.

Maps and directions

Address searches and driving-route requests are sent to Apple through MapKit when you use those features. Direct entry of locations and mileage does not require those requests. Apple handles its services under its privacy policy.

Stored traces and deletion

Raw location samples support recovery of active drives. Finished-drive samples are removed unless you enable diagnostic retention. Retained traces older than seven days are removed when Captric next opens. Saved trips remain until you delete them.

You can delete drives, diagnostic traces, or all local drives and drafts in the app. Exported copies remain wherever you saved or shared them. Losing the phone or uninstalling the app can lose your records. iOS backups may include app data depending on your settings; Captric does not provide cloud recovery.

Feedback is your choice

Ordinary in-app feedback includes your message, category, app version/build, iOS version and tracking status. It does not automatically include saved drives or GPS traces. You can explicitly include a selected drive’s details or add files, review them, and remove them before sharing. Those additions can contain precise locations or other private information.

Your email app or chosen share destination handles delivery. Feedback emailed to support@captric.com is received by Wavicon LLC, along with your sending email address and any attachments you choose. Cloudflare routes incoming support email to our support mailbox. We use it to investigate reports and reply. Feedback stays in the support mailbox; contact us to request deletion of feedback you sent.

TestFlight is provided by Apple and can share tester feedback, crash reports and testing information with the developer. See Apple’s TestFlight information.
